Mother's Programs

Mothers of Pre Schoolers (MOPS)

This is a wonderfully supportive program for mothers both from within and outside our church community!

Having registered their pre-school children with the MOPPETS team, mothers are indulged as they are greeted with refreshments and time for small talk as they make new friends or build on existing friendships. This is followed by a time of learning from those with experience as to the 'how to' of raising children and other issues of interest to mothers. A fun filled time with craft or other active activities completes a delightful two hour program.

While mothers are enjoying this 'space' for themselves, the children in MOPPETS are enjoying their own 'space'. The babies are cared for in a separate room by caring volunteers of the church community. In another room 2 year olds play together with colorful and interesting toys appropriate for their age under the supervision of further volunteers. In yet another room the 3-4 year olds enjoy a program of songs, stories, games and crafts with a third group of church community volunteers.

All children are provided with refreshments as mothers are encouraged to provide food and drinks for their children.

A well secure, shaded and clean play area is provided at the rear of the church. A covered sand pit and other amusements are provided to make this area a treat for the children.

This program is open to all interested mothers of pre-school aged children.
